Ted Woolford

Postby Bob_H » Mon Jul 16, 2012 2:08 pm

The following belated sad news passed by JC.

Just been informed of the death of Ted Woolford who died on the 14 June 2012. Ted was in a hospice close to his home following a short illness.

SSGT B E (Ted) Woolford 14/20H 1960-1982.

Our condolences to the Family.

This is a very sad occasion for me personally as Ted was not only in my Troop but was also my tenpin bowling buddy in HK. I am doubly saddened because I'd heard that he'd passed away years ago and therefore no attempt was made to get him to a Reunion.

RIP Ted

I was very saddened to read of Teds passing.
It was a great pleasure to serve alongside him in many places, and when i was honoured with RSM he became, one of my Guidon S/gts in 1982 ,with Spike Young (when Billy Bucther carried the Guidon). Those were really good times and Ted often led the way when we staggered out of the Officers Mess after handback.
He was a very loyal Hawk whom we all admired.
Rest in peace Ted, you will be sorely missed by all

Very sorry to hear of Teds passing.
He was my troop Cpl in HK and my vehicle commander for a good while. He helped me through a particulary trying time out there. I'd often hoped of seeing him again at the reunions but never did. One of the good blokes.

Condolences to his family. RIP Ted.

I was lucky enough to serve with Ted for about 14 years and I always found him to be a great guy, never did see him again after he left the regiment but I have nothing but good memories about him.

R.I.P Ted & my sincere condolences to his family
