JC has just provided the following sad news:

John Roadnight just rang and informed me of the death of his brother Alan who died on the 20 May. The eldest of three brothers (Alan, John & Bob) Alan served with the Regiment from 1948-1968.

The funeral will take place at Worthing Crematorium at 11:40 on the14th June. After the service friends are invited back to:
The Arun View Inn, Wharf Road, Littlehampton.

Alan’s chosen charity is Korean Veterans (he served in Korea1953-54) and donations can be sent c/o Ian Hart, 92-94 Broadwater Street, West Worthing, Sussex. BN14 9DE

The original "Zak" Knew him well in Hohne in the early '60's. An all round great guy. RIP.

I first met Alan in Celle as he was Mick Gates' Cpl in C Sqn Tech Stores. So rest In peace old friend. I will be attending the funeral in Worthing.
