6 Nations 2014

Postby Taff » Wed Jan 29, 2014 1:36 am

OK Boys, what's the predictions.

Mine;

1. Wales (Trying for a third consecutive championship)
2. France (always a danger).
3. England. ( Still building, had the sense to get rid of Ashton)
4. Italy. (Ever improving, could be their best six nations yet)
5. Ireland (Still relying on too old heads; but won't lie down for anybody).
6. Scotland. (Struggling with depth, but could surprise)

My prediction for most exciting game Wales V Scotland (Always a cracker).
Most physical game anybody V Ireland.
Player of the tournament George North.
If your officer's dead and the sergeants look white,
Remember it's ruin to run from a fight:
So take open order, lie down, and sit tight,
And wait for supports like a soldier.
Wait, wait, wait like a soldier . . .

Hi Fellas,

How about making this year's 6 Nations as interesting as the last couple of years with a Prediction of the correct finishing positions; The Loser puts twenty quid into the Noah's Arc pot.

Point for every team in the correct predicted position plus a bonus 2 points if you have predicted the winning Nation.

Based on the final results and on points difference if any teams are in a tied position.

If we here have a tied result for the loser those tied put a ten spot in the kitty.

The book closes at 14:20 Saturday 1 Feb 14. You must agree to take part before the above time and date. Must be Three or more Takers!

My prediction for the 6 Nations is:

England - Because its England! They will build on last year's Championship
Wales - Unlucky Losers
France - Always give a good game
Ireland - Need to rebuild their Team last shot for the old heads
Scotland - They Try!
Italy - Very good last year but not quite there yet

Player of the Tournament - Luther Burrell one of the best centres in the Premiership and sure to play well

Cheers

Mac

Scotland & Ireland. Best rugby anthems ever.

Hi Fellas,

After two games slightly different prediction (will still pay up on my original) after two games each:

Still England for the Championship.
Ireland close second
France taking awhile to get going in both their matches so far
Wales not firing, lucky against Italy, woeful against Ireland
Italy all heart but cannot finish
Scotland dreadful, wooden spoon material

Cheers

In rugby terms I have to say something...and it's really hard; really, really hard. I know in the long term it's for the best but FFS mun. Oh well here we go ...... 'Come on England'.

There. I feel sick and nauseous.

Hi Taff,

I hope you are wearing the white shirt! Although I suppose you will have the red one underneath.

Looking forward to the game to decide the Championship in a weeks time - England by +10

Cheers

Hi Dave & All,

Results of the Noah's Arc 6 Nations (or in Lawrie's Case 5 Nations) Championship 2014

Bob 5
Dave 2
Mac 2
Taff 1
Pinky 0
Lawrie Disqualified for the inability to count unless he is taking money off you and therefore the loser!

However, me being a good sport and normally the loser will put a twenty spot into the hat for the Arc's coffers

Cheers

Mac
