World Cup 2014

Postby PINKY » Sat Jun 07, 2014 4:28 am

Hi there,
I was wondering what your thoughts are about the world cup, favourites, predictions, underdogs and dark horses !!
To my Scottish buddies on here feel free to join in !! LOL.
Dark horse - Belgium
My semi-finalists are: Brazil V France and England (of course) V Germany BUT I hope ze Germans don't even get out of the qualifiying group. (however).
Winners - Brazil
Runners up - Germany
3rd - France
4th - England

Brazil beat Spain in the 2nd round and Italy in the quarters !!
I'm sorry but my heart rules my brain in football.......mostly.
Next ?

Is it me are all the pundits talking crap, all I keep hearing is how good the Dingles looked with the now new young generation (still a few of the golden one still cling on) are, They got beat by a 36 year old eyetie. And Woy All he says is we should have won that. We'll you didn't Woy so stop saying it every time you get beat. I hear the English FA has contacted the scots for the number of their pilot, still got to be in it to win it eh. Should have gone to benidorm, magaluf or where ever MR Keller.

GUTTED
but not surprised !! Typical England........so close but NOWT.
Gerrard was by far our worst player, sorry but he should retire right now!
How can 5ft 4' Suarez push him 6 ft over so easily........??
Defense was very nervous, Rooney finally scored, sterling did nothing..............so sad.

I am sorry to say Roy made the wrong selection. OK I'm little old, but I remember Sir Alf picking his World Cup winning team. He said I pick them in the position they play for their club. Adam Llanna plays on the left side for his team and most weeks he's man of the match so he should have started in this position. Sterling very rarely plays on the right, but he did tonight,WHY? I think the team was picked to please the media. The media kept going on about Rooney and I think Roy felt pressurised to accommodate him.

IMO Rooney may of been our best player. Media pressure - I agree. We'll see if the glimmer of hope is going to inspire selection changes on Tuesday? It could all be too late if Italy fail to win, let's hope they do and then we will see what Roy is made of? He should drop Gerrard as he's disappointed more than any in both games.

MR Keller. Where are you ??????? Have you finally realised how crap you are. Sprouting on about Scotland for so long and maybe you are beginning to realise that you fall into the same bracket as us . But you still got there I suppose, bearing in mind you struggled in the easiest group. The best thing about you getting knocked out before the final game is I hope all the idiots will take the flags out of their rear car windows ( nobs) :D :D :D :D
