I have just received this e.mail from a mate. He is ex 13/18th.

Just received the monthly newsletter from the Regiment. It has been decided to place a memorial at the NMA. Further details to follow but expecting the dedication to be sometime in the Spring.
Any news on yours?
Cheers,
Geoff

An extract from The Light Dragoon news update.

National Memorial Arboretum (NMA) - Update I mentioned previously that we are having a memorial produced for The Light Dragoons and antecedent regiments, this will be erected on Cavalry Crescent at the NMA once completed, at present we are in contact with a stone mason and have the design being drawn up to accurately reflect our previous regimental badges. Also, we are in discussion with the NMA authorities covering the cost and relevant paperwork required to erect such a memorial. We are hoping to have the piece completed and a date placed into our calendar in the coming months which we will of course keep all Association members aware of, as we hope to have a small service to bless the memorial which the serving Regiment have confirmed they will support. More details to follow.
