Update on Reunion 2016

Postby Paul W. Baker » Sun Mar 27, 2016 12:29 pm

Good morning to you all.

We now have 6 weeks until the reunion in Blackpool remaining, and as you may have seen over the past few weeks through the posts the committee members have been placing on the Facebook and website pages there are many plans being made to make the 20th Noah’s ARC reunion one of the best ones to date.

This years reunion is dedicated to DRAC, our former Noah's ARC president. We wanted to honour his memory with a souvenir t-shirt. Sporting a Hawk on the front and the words to 'Sussex by the Sea' on the reverse.
The t-shirt is a great way to learn the words to our regimental song.

To purchase the t-shirt please go to: http://www.noahs-arc.org.uk/shop/index.php

The Imperial Hotel increased the rooms allocated to Noah’s ARC for the weekend and they are now completely sold out.

For those still looking for a Hotel over the reunion weekend remember that the Sheraton have kindly made Noah’s ARC members an offer:

The price for 2 nights Dinner bed and breakfast would be £95 per person for in the main hotel and £85.00 per person in the Sheraton lodge

The price for 2 nights bed and breakfast would be £85 per person for in the main hotel and £75.00 per person in the Sheraton lodge

Any guest wishing to add on the Sunday night can do so for £25 per person for dinner bed and breakfast.
And for guests adding on the Thursday night, the cost would be £39 per person for dinner bed and breakfast in the main hotel and £34 per person in the lodge.

Friday 6th May 2016 - Evening

This should be one of those nights everyone will remember for a long time. The evening is German themed and ‘if you would like to participate’ you are invited to dress German for the night. Best dressed will be given a prize.
The Menu for the evening is also German themed and includes Braturst, Brockwurst, Currywurst. The full menu can be seen on the Noah’s ARC website should you wish to look:

The Oompah band will be entertaining us during the evening so you can dance the night away.
Remember to take lots of Photographs!!

Saturday 7th May 2016

The main evening of the reunion will run as it always has (with a few surprise changes) why change what has worked for so long, right? The band will do the Fanfare inviting everyone to take his or her seats about 18.30 and the meal will be served from about 19.00hrs.

The annual Draw will be done at some point during the evening, if you would like to increase your chance in winning more tickets can be purchased now or during the reunion itself.

Tables for the evening are now SOLD OUT so if anyone finds they are NOT able to attend for whatever reason could you please let me know this will enable us to let other sit down on the night should they wish to do so.
The menu for the evening is again available to be viewed on the Noah’s ARC website.

During the evening band will entertain us in their normal high standard way, followed by a disco that will go on until approximately 1am.

During all this time the bars will be open, a 15% discount has been granted to Noah’s ARC for the reunion weekend, we succeeded in getting the discount raised, so lets make the most of the weekend and see if we can drink them dry once again.

Your Noah’s ARC ties are available via the Noah’s ARC shop, please do not wait until the last minute to order them.

The committee is holding a meeting on the 9th April to ensure everything is finalized and ready for the weekend. The minutes from that meeting will once again be made available to you via the Noah’s ARC website. Once ready I will of course let you know.

I hope this is of help to you all and we look forward to seeing you all in May.
