After the first glance I have decided to go out and rob a bank so that I can buy those items that appeal to me.

Comment:
It would be nice to get some sizes put on the brass eagles -/- hawks.

Well done Brian and all involved !

Bill, cataloging the collection has been mammoth and my task continued today at 03:30, although I did get back to bed for an hour before getting going again at 07:30. Everything is loaded now and we know where everything is.

Next stage is adding as much detail as we can, including sizes as you suggest. If things go to plan we should be ready to accept bids by Thursday of this week.

When I look at some of the items I think "I want that!"

Just trying to help with detail:

Lot Nr. 1594 Plaques:

I am quite certain that the 14/20H Belfast Plaque was presented for the tour 1978-79 and not as stated '94-95.

I venture to suggest that the dates of the tours 14/20H / KRH have inadvertantly been switched, as the KRH Plaque is given the date '78-79 which can hardly be correct ...

As ever I stand ready to be corrected if anybody knows better, but I was on the '78-79 tour (most of it anyway) and so had such a Plaque, but can't find it ... and so I shall be bidding for this lot as well.

Don't loose any more sleep over it Bob, just trying to do my bit ...

Brian,

unfortunately things are not going to plan, everything that I have placed a bid on has been out-bid, so I have just murdered my piggy bank and shall make a counter attack when I have counted the mountain of pennies.

Just in case, don't you have some old shoe brushes or a button-stick that you could add to the auction ... just so that I can be certain of getting in on the action.

It's all for a good cause and probably the best 'sad event' that I've been involved in, THANKS and keep smiling

Edit, PS, thanks for adding all of the extra items, I have already made bids for a few more treasures !

The Great 'DRAC' Auction - the result (part 1)

Well, we never expected that. The enthusiasm with which all of you have joined in this event has been breath-taking. For the final hour of the Auction last night my laptop was glowing red with the heat of processing all of those late bids. Brian is overwhelmed with the response and he wants to thank you all for your generosity.

Two things now:
1) If you are a winner (click on 'See all Bids' against any item) please contact us to let us know how you will pay and collect / arrange despatch.

2) A number of items remained unsold and they will soon be relisted with much lower reserves.

Congratulations to the winners and commiserations to those who wanted to win but weren't successful.
