JC -- Top man you served both regiments with a loyalty that we all admire, and you are true friend to everyone
I remember us being locked up in Warminster over a weekend on a trumped up infantry charge
Bobby Broe drove a Chieftan tank at the guard house, after closing time (Obviously) on the Sat night painted with pink paint on the side ( Free John and ALI no justice for 14/20th) He jumped out and ran when it stopped at the curb edge. The guard, after picking us up laughing off the floor, had to ask you to turn it off.
Bobby owned up at closing time on the Sunday night, but the guard commander wouldn't believe him and sent him to bed. I think he was one of ours.
I remember the winter card games in the Warminster drying rooms with Chris Roache and Jumbo, the scrumpy you had brought back from the weekend, outside on the window ledge keeping cool.
And I know you as a true friend, enjoy your well earned retirement
Hope to see you soon
Best wishes ALI & Lynn
