Wow Mick,

you wrote it all so quickly and, I am glad, proud to say that I knew 7 of the 9 names that you mentioned, dare I even say that one was a friend (not the sort of thing one normally says about RSM's ex-RSM's  ).

That said, your memory is slipping as at least one name is missing: Skip Rae another ex-RSM who was, in his youth, a friend of mine. Bless 'em all, bless 'em all, the long and the short and the tall ...

In fact, having just checked the list Paul pointed us to, I knew the last dozen RSM's at some point in their service, man does that make me feel o l d !

Mick, 58/59 Alec Prevett was RSM when RHQ was in Hohne by ityself. He was still around until the Guidon Parade in 1961 in Hohne. Bones Witney in this time was RQMS, certainly until we were in Benghazi.

The majority of posts are made on Facebook these days which is a massive shame. I am trying to attract people back to the website by only putting updates of the reunion on the website now with links on Facebook. This I hope will get people to return to the website.

Thanks for your help in keeping this website in use, I firmly believe that this site is far better than any other site I have ever visited or used, it is a great pity that it is no longer seen as our main way of communicating with each other. Well done Paul

You both echo my feelings as well keep trying Paul I am positive some of our aged Hawks like me will keep using this site. My grandkids tell me I should move with the times and get "Twitter, Face Book " etc never been on them and seeing all the heart ache and stress they appear to bring will not try.
Keep up the good work health and happiness to you all.

Hi Paul I was sent this sad news about Johnny Marcelle thought it would be prudent to put it on the site because he had such an influence on us all and he did a marvellous job of organising parcels to the lads in Iraq and Afghanistan plus his tireless work with Blind Veterans.
Hope this is OK

PWO2 J M MARCELLE

It is with sadness that we inform you of the death of WO2 John Michael Marcelle on Sunday 8th January 2017, aged 85
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday 24th January 2017 at 11:00 am, at South Essex Crematorium, Ockendon Road, Upminster, RM14 2UY. All are welcome.
Family flowers only please. Donations in John’s memory will go to St Dunstan’s (Blind Veterans UK). A collection will be taken at the service, or donations may be sent via the Funeral Directors, Coop Funeral Care, 90 Dagenham Road, Rush Green, Romford, RM7 0TJ.
A reception will be held afterwards at The Royal British Legion, 54 Weston Road, Romford, RM1 3LP. Parking is available on site.
John is survived by his children Sandra, Tony and Nicholas. Should you wish to write, Sandra’s address is:

Mick,
I posted the details of John's demise on here, on the day of his passing, and, further, posted the Funeral details as soon as I was informed of them, on here, when I was made aware of them by HHQ.
If you can stay calm when all around you is in Chaos, Then you have not properly understood the Situation!!
