Hi Dave

Don't apologise Dave, You have no reason to. The thing is anyone who served with us is welcome, We even have REME
Lads attend our reunions and catch up with those they served with. Anyone know what happened to Paul Langham? after he transferred to the Pay Corps

You are right Sammy,I remember you well, originally I was posted to the previous regt 13/18 and liked it so much I stayed on with the 14/20th,even remained in the same block C sqn to A sqn,I have bumped into a few previous members over the years,Derek Whelan i saw in Hong Kong,he was on a Chinese language course,ex Sgt Wareing, not sure of his first name Dave I think in Stevenage and Slim Bonfield i think was on the security at BAC factory again in Stevenage and Pud Gooding REME fitter,I saw him at a holiday camp on the IOW in about '76 he was in the Kuwait army by then.Like yourself my memory lets me down a bit but can remember a number of names from Maj Tubbs,SSM Bingham,Brian Bewley,Brian Tunner,Mr Dean and Gavin Pyke and others that keep popping up in my memory.

Dave
All those names bring back fond memories, if you are ever able to attend the Blackpool reunion you will meet up with many more that you knew. Sammy

Rick,
It was Warners holiday camp I think,it overlooked the Solent towards Southampton as one evening everyone watched the QE2 coming back from America.Pud Gooding was in the next chalet to me,what a coincidence.I do remember you in C sqd along with SSM Ben Marshall, did he do something wrong as he never seems to get many mentions.Ginge Harris I remember as one of the REME in C sqd with Sgt Frost.

Hi Dave
No Ben did nothing wrong. He got a ERE posting I Think to The Trucial Oman Scouts. When he returned he came into the Mess to live. C Squadron moved to NI when we got back, Ben had vanished. At this period things were changing fairly fast promotions being handed out like free beer jn the mess. Also If I remember correctly redundancy was on offer. I thing Ben had done his time. That's how I remember it. I am sure others will correct my errors

Tony,
thanks for that, although I was not attached to the Regiment for all that long I enjoyed the time spent there and wonder what happened to a lot of A sqd like Don Townsend,Taff Perry,Rotty Morris,Reme LAD members Roger Alltimes,Pete Cooley and Flash Lightfoot the recovery mechanic and well remember the monumental booze ups in the sqd bar and corporals mess.Did ssm Bingham become the RSM after Sid Jude or later on and what happened to the officers,Maj Tubbs,Capt Rawlinson,Gavin Pyke and Mr Dean, other names keep popping up so I will ask about them another time

Hi Dave

Now you have caught me out, I not sure about Bill I think so but could be wrong. Jim Sharp? was RSM at Tidworth as Well. All the rest you will have to wait until Mick Burgess reads your message. He is a fount of all things Regimental.

You're correct on that one Sammy. Digger Sharp wasn't a WO1 at that time

Sid Jude took ill in Libya whilst we were doing a exercise from Germany and was returned home dying after he got back. Billy took over in Germany. When we returned to tidworth for a short period I think. I know that he was summoned to Bovington, I went with him to Bovvy where he was told he would be GSM NI. He later went as GSM Malta. Bill if you read this please confirm or correct .
