HI MY NAME IS AIDAN WILLIAMS, MY GRANDAD JOHN IS GOING INTO WIGAN HOSPITAL WARD ASPULL WARD ON WEDNESDAY 29Th, HE IS HAVING TO HAVE HIS HIP DONE AGAIN AS THE OTHER ONE IS METAL ON METAL AND ITS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, HE WILL BE IN FOR ABOUT 10 DAYS WHEN HE COMES OUT HE CANT DRIVE FOR 6 TO 8 WEEKS, THAT WILL UPSET HIM AS HE LOVES DRIVING HIS CAR TAKING NAN FOR DAYS OUT.

Chin up John,

my kid brother has now had 5 hip replacements, it's amazing what they can do these days.

No he's not an insect waiting for the last one to get done. He had an accident as a kid and has had repeated operations on both sides and he's still fairly mobile.

You'll be back on your feet in no time.

All the best to your Grandad Aidan. My father, who is 86 and an ex wartime Lancaster tail-gunner, had both his done last year...havn't been able to stop him hopping about since! Keeps thinking he is in his turret at times.

Spoke to Olive today, John , "eventually" went into hospital yesterday and underwent a successful operation this afternoon, hopefully he is due out shorly
