It's me who thanks you guys for showing solidarity with a man who really did make all the difference, possibly even to the outcome of the conflict. Just imagine, had 2 Para been defeated at Goose Green, the Task Force would have had to rescue any survivors, using effectively all of its resources. The conflict would have gone on into winter and become a pure survival situation; a new start the following spring would have been most unlikely - we would have lost the war ! What would that have done for the UK's image in the world, etc. etc..
One day history will write great things about the battle for Goose Green, but as usual they will wait until most of the lads are dead and there is almost nobody to PAY tribute to. I for one do not expect to see that day, but I know it will come and I can live with that.
Thanks again !!
