Could be a location sensitive download Bill. News organisations protect their copyright/licensing rights by not allowing downloads outside of their territory. Hope that it gets put on YouTube.

I got the date mixed up and didn't make it.

Re: preston march past 12/7/15

How about a contingent of "Noah's Arc" members storming the Preston office of the LEP wearing our Noah's Arc insignia and putting them straight on a few things ? They are like all media, writers of fairy tales. What they can't be bothered to research, they make up. Or we could all email th...

Maurice

If you have access to the Hawks Journals on CD, Yagger (and his wife in one issue) appears quite frequently in a number of journals. If you don't have it (the CD), it is available through home HQ North.

Re: DEATH NOTICE

I have had a response from Jenni, who has passed my comment up the line. I don't mind if my death is posted as irreverent e.g. (Solly has popped his clogs, left nothing of value, spent all his money. The funeral will be in his back garden. Bring a spade or a log for the funeral pyre. If you are comi...

DEATH NOTICE

Who else is uncomfortable with the recent emails regarding the passing of one of our mates or acquaintances ? When John Cornish sent notifications out, he headed them with the rank and name of he/she who had moved on, and then in the body of the text informed that "It is with great sadness, tha...

Remember well, the unofficial contest (battle) to recover the (Riley ?) driven into the pool by one of the officers, and the fact that the lights stayed on for a while, whilst still under water.

Re: Anyone know this Captain ?

Singe, Get you Ducky ! When I joined the regiment in Benghazi, the first (1 pair) of denims I was issued with were to fit a guy 6ft to 6ft 6" and chest size 46" +. The Indian tailor on camp just chopped a piece, about 10", out of the middle and stitched the two halves back together. I...

Re: John Loines

Shocked and saddened to hear this news. I've known Kath since her marriage to Bill Hutton in Guisborough 1966 ? and since then on odd occasions. However, I always thought that John was a nice, friendly chap and always had a few words with him at re-unions. My deepest sympathies Kath and condolences ...

Re: Anyone know this Captain ?

Bob If you have access to the Hawk Journals, in the 1967 Journal, page 23 has a group photo of the polo playing subalterns Clifford, Bowles, Davis and Clifford. B Sqn polo team. I remember that Peter Vickery was a very keen horseman. Wish I had been issued with denims tailored to fit like HRH's lady...
