I remember Sgt Reg Burkey. His claim to fame was running his household like the Guards training depot and sorting out a noisy budgie. Also rumour had it that the cat did enjoy its time in the oven. Where would we be without these characters. :D :D Al Jones.

I was Taff's gunner in Berlin (1959). We had a great crew and Taff was one of the best commanders you could serve with. The only time I could have criticised him was one time on Soltau on our annual scheme. Taff had jumped off to answer the call of nature. Now this was during a really cold week and ...

I was in Ted Morris's troop in Tripoli. He was troop sergeant. I used to drive his saracen from time to time. On one occassion our troop officer took our only local maps during a squadron exercise in the desert. SIR said to Ted just stay on the (barely noticable) wheel tracks and you should be alrig...
