Thanks Bill. I moved here after leaving the regiment and haven't regretted one minute. I remember Sgt Reg Burkey. His claim to fame was running his household like the Guards training depot and sorting out a noisy budgie. Also rumour had it that the cat did enjoy its time in the oven. Where would we be without these characters. :D :D Al Jones.

I was Taff's gunner in Berlin (1959). We had a great crew and Taff was one of the best commanders you could serve with. I was in Ted Morris's troop in Tripoli. He was troop sergeant. I used to drive his saracen from time to time.
